MY-REIGN Founder Story

For most of my life, I never really thought much about skincare.

I've always been able to use almost any product, eat almost anything, and my skin would stay clear and smooth. If a product worked, that was honestly enough for me. I wasn't paying close attention to ingredient lists or thinking deeply about what I was putting on my skin.

That all changed when I had my daughter.

Her skin was completely different from mine. She has very sensitive, extremely dry skin, so suddenly I had to pay attention to everything to include the products I bathed her in, the creams I used, the ingredients they contained, and whether they would actually keep her skin moisturized without causing irritation.

And I struggled to find something that did both.

I'm not saying that product didn't exist. I'm simply saying I never found it.

Then, years later, my daughter asked me a very simple question.

She wanted to know why she couldn't use bath bombs like I did.

I explained that her skin was sensitive and that I didn't know how she would react to them.

And she looked at me and asked,

"Why can't you make me a bath bomb that doesn't hurt my skin?"

That question changed everything.

It led me to start researching how bath bombs were made and whether creating them myself was even possible. I quickly discovered that not only could I learn to make my own bath bombs, but there was an entire world of skincare and body care formulation waiting to be explored.

With the help of experienced formulators who generously shared educational resources online, I began learning how to properly calculate formulations, understand ingredient percentages, and recognize the role of emulsifiers and why they are not all created equally. As my knowledge grew, I also began taking a much closer look at the ingredients in the products I was using on my own skin.

What started as an effort to create something better for my daughter soon changed the way I thought about skincare altogether.

The more I learned, the more I realized that I wanted something different.

I wanted to create products made with thoughtful, purposeful ingredients, not only for my daughter, but for myself and for other people who wanted more from their body care.

Once I started formulating, I discovered that I truly loved it.  

I didn't want to create products that simply felt good for a few minutes after you applied them. I wanted to create skincare that was designed to support the condition of your skin over time.

Because to me, that should be the point.

What is the purpose of using all of these products if they aren't also doing something beneficial for the skin underneath?

And that is what led me to create MY-REIGN Skincare.

A brand centered around thoughtful formulation, elevated self-care, and products created to help support the skin you're in.

This started with one simple question from my daughter.

And it became something much bigger than I ever expected.
